Cyber Journey 2024: a benchmark event for cybersecurity
Cyber Journey 2024 has confirmed itself as an unmissable event for cybersecurity experts and enthusiasts, offering a discussion on emerging threats, defensive strategies and developments in the sector.
Among the prominent speakers of this edition:
- Domenico Raguseo (Head of CyberSecurity & (Digital) Infrastructure, Exprivia S.p.A.) analyzed the trend of cybercrime in Italy in the first six months of 2024, highlighting the main threats and trends.
- Dario Fadda (Security Researcher and founder of Ransomfeed.it) illustrated the Ransomfeed project and the methods of analyzing the ransomware threat.
- Guido Mureddu (Director of Engineering, Pluribus One) deepened the challenges of secure software design, focusing on security, efficiency and reliability.
- Dinis Cruz (Founder, The Cyber Boardroom; Chief Scientist, Glasswall; vCISO and GenAI expert) discussed using deterministic GenAI to ensure reliable and verifiable output.
- Lorenzo Pisu (Ph.D. Student, University of Cagliari) analyzed security techniques in Template Engines, with particular attention to Server-Side Template Injection vulnerabilities.
- Federico Loi (Software Security Consultant, IMQ Minded Security; CTF player, Srdnlen) explained the top threats from the OWASP Top 10 LLM, offering insights into how to mitigate risks related to the security of language model-based applications.
A key moment of the event was the OWASP Day, organized by the Italian Chapter of OWASP, which placed the focus on software security, an increasingly central theme in the cybersecurity landscape. PLURIBUS ONE, with over 20 years of experience in the sector, has contributed its know-how in the development of advanced solutions for application protection.
Cyber Journey 2024 represented an important opportunity for discussion between professionals, companies and researchers, once again underlining the growing importance of cybersecurity in the digital ecosystem.
